Our client is looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join their busy team in their Portsmouth office. This is an excellent opportunity to join this expanding team.

Areas of focus will include:

• Wills drafting
• Probate administration
• Court of Protection / LPA
• Tax planning and advice
• Trust set up and administration
• Limited contentious probate work

Duties will include:

• Independently managing own varied caseload of private client matters.
• Responsibility for providing high quality, timely, professional advice on Wills, Probate and Estate administration, Inheritance Planning, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection Work, Trusts and some Contentious Probate Work.
• Promoting a compassionate and sensitive disposition client experience when dealing with the elderly or incapacitated.
• Proactively networking and marketing within the team to generate new business and reputation.
• Attending clients in their own environment as required.
• Responsibility for mentoring and assisting more junior team members.
• Maintaining good billings records within the team.

Desired skills:

• Fee earning experience essential within Private Client with at least 2 years PQE +.
• Proven track record of meeting targets.
• Have strong interpersonal skills.
• STEP is desirable but not essential.
• Business development and networking skills.
