An excellent opportunity has arisen for a commercial property Solicitor/Legal Executive to join a busy Commercial and Agricultural Department within a well renowned Legal Practice.

The successful candidate will be a competent commercial property lawyer with strong drafting skills. You will be expected to progress a diverse range of commercial property files confidently and be proficient using case management systems. You will be a people person who has a positive, team-focused approach and will positively enjoy client contact and keeping everyone updated.

You will also be a team player with strong communication and networking skills; combined with a friendly and professional approach to work and will be adept at working to targets within a busy team.

Duties will include:

• Managing a caseload from instruction through to completion
• Drafting and approving various legal documentation
• Effectively maintain the firm’s case management system
• Ensuring all post completion formalities are dealt with
• Conduct legal research where appropriate
• Providing a responsive service, giving clear and concise legal advice
• Attend to clients of the firm on a regular basis, to include travelling to client meetings
• Supervising junior members of the team
• Ensure the successful development and profitability of the department and the firm
• Attending and taking part in business development activities

Desired skills:

• Relevant qualifications – degree/LPC/training contract, CILEx

• Have very high level of technical competence

• Fee earning experience essential
• Proven track record of meeting targets
• Experience in supervising team members
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Professional and proactive approach
• Have a focus on client care
• Sound legal knowledge within the processes
