An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join this Legal 500 firm with multiple offices and an extremely strong presence across the South Coast. You will be joining a prestigious firm who are accredited for the high standard work they carry out.

Areas of focus will include:

  • Landlord and Tenant Disputes
  • Breach of Covenant
  • Dilapidation Claims
  • Lease Renewals
  • Adverse Possession Claims
  • Mortgage Possession Claims
  • Rent Arrears
  • Debt Recovery
  • Trespass Claims
  • Basement Extensions


Duties will include:

  • Assisting heavily and managing own caseload (with assistance and supervision as needed) of a variety of contentious matters.
  • Acting for a broad range of clients from Property Developers and Commercial Landlords to small Corporate Businesses.
  • Managing most of the procedure from instruction through to settlement.
  • Providing a responsive service, giving clear and concise legal advice.
  • Experience of taking matters to court is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Attend to clients of the firm on a regular basis.
  • Be actively involved in the marketing and business development of the team and wider firm.
  • Maintaining continuing professional development requirements and taking an active interest in furthering knowledge within litigation.
  • To regularly attend and be involved in preparation for team meetings.


Skills and Experience

  • The candidate should have an understanding in assisting/handling residential or commercial property litigated matters with at least 12 months experience.
  • Degree or ILEx qualifications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with some previous experience of drafting and effective management of client expectations.
  • Capable of taking direction from senior members of the team and implementing appropriately.
  • Willingness to get involved and act as a team player on client matters and provide general departmental support.
  • Advanced IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Excellent file management skills and able to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and reliable; capable of meeting financial targets.
  • A personable and confident manner.
  • An organised and accurate approach to work, with effective prioritising skills.
