This specialised and boutique law firm are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join them. The firm are an SRA approved alternative business structure, offering a range of niche services to include:

  • Tax advice
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Immigration advice
  • Business development
  • Notarisation services
  • Life planning / Asset protection trust
  • ATED (Annual tax on enveloped dwellings)
  • Enterprise investment schemes
  • VAT
  • HMRC mediation and settlements
  • Wills, trusts and IHT
  • Overseas business networks

The chosen candidate needs to be someone who is familiar with some of the processes and procedures associated within private client and tax matters and can start assisting from day one.

Duties will include:

  • Providing full secretarial support including using a system to produce correspondence and other documentation related to Private Client and Tax matters.
  • Maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client admin files.
  • Drafting of basic Wills, Trusts and Tax matters.
  • Completion of forms relating to tax i.e. Inheritance Tax.
  • Production of attendance notes.
  • Support fee earners in marketing activities.
  • General team administration including photocopying, faxing, filing and scanning.
  • Meeting and greeting clients.
  • Handling telephone enquiries and directing accordingly.
  • Arranging meeting room bookings/travel arrangements.
  • Invoicing and billing

Desired skills and experience:

  • Legal Secretary experience preferably within Private Client – at least 6 months.
  • Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts rules
  • Fast, accurate typing ability, ideally using audio systems.
  • Experience of using case management system.
  • IT literate – Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / Digital Audio software / Case Management.
