Conveyancer

(Solicitor or Legal Executive or Licenced Conveyancer)

£27,500.000 per year

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a respectable law firm for an experienced Conveyancer with New build experience to join a driven team of residential property specialists in their York office on a full time basis.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor, FILEX or Licensed Conveyancer with extensive experience in Residential Property matters from inception to post-completion. The successful candidate will manage a caseload consisting of a mix of residential property matters to include freehold/leasehold sales and purchases, Shared Ownership, Re-mortgages, New Build and Plot Sales developments.

Duties will include:

• Managing a caseload from instruction through to completion
• Drafting and approving various legal documentation
• Effectively maintain the firm’s case management system
• Ensuring all post completion formalities are dealt with
• Conduct legal research where appropriate
• Providing a responsive service, giving clear and concise legal advice
• Attend to clients of the Firm on a regular basis

Desired skills:

• Fee earning experience essential
• Conveyancing experience 3 years (preferred)
• Relevant qualifications – degree/LPC, CILEx or CLC
• Proven track record of meeting targets
• Have strong interpersonal skills
• Professional and proactive approach
• Have a focus on client care
• Sound legal knowledge within the conveyancing process
