Family Paralegal : Maternity Cover

Salary : Dependant on Experience

A highly accredited and reputable firm are seeking a Family Paralegal to cover maternity leave. This will be a fee-earning role whilst working under supervision along with administration work and some accounts, the work in this role is varied therefore the ideal candidate will be flexible within their duties.

Duties:

  • Interviewing clients and taking initial instructions.
  • Drafting applications to courts.
  • Liaising with clients and other parties via telephone, email and letter.
  • Attending court to issue claim forms and assist on trials.
  • Attend advocates and PLO meetings.
  • Prepare court bundles.
  • General administration task such as photocopying.
  • Updating and maintaining records.
  • Assisting with bills of costs and claims for costs to the Legal Aid agency.
  • Obtaining payments for accounts from clients and Legal Aid agency.
  • Requesting cheques.
  • Other necessary duties as requested by management.


Person specification:

  • Previous experience within Family Law.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in dealing with vulnerable clients.
  • Self-motivating.
  • Desire for client satisfaction.


If you are working towards completing or have completed your CILEx / LPC or hold a Law degree, are able to provide excellent client satisfaction and communicate clearly then this could be the role for you!
