A highly regarded legal practice are seeking an ambitious, motivated Paralegal to join their reputable Corporate team in their Ashford office. The team acts for a range of clients from owner managed businesses to large national and multinational companies in a variety of sectors including manufacturing, retail, logistics and IT.
They are experts across a range of matters to include:
Share acquisitions and disposals
Business acquisitions and disposals
Management buys outs
Corporate restructuring
Corporate governance and directors’ duties
Business formation and incorporation
Shareholders’ agreements and articles of association
Share buybacks
LLPs and Partnerships
Corporate insolvency
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Taking instructions and progressing the files under the solicitor’s instructions
Assisting the team with larger scale, complex transactions
Attending to clients of the firm
Drafting a wide range of legal documentation such as shareholder agreements, business structure, business protection and business sales and purchases.
Making amendments to Articles of Association
Active involvement within business development
Maintaining a professional and polite demeanour at all times
Secretarial support is provided to all fee earning members of the team
Desired skills:
Working knowledge of corporate law
Handling own files under supervision
Client focused
Good knowledge of relevant computer programmes e.g. MS Office and online time recording.
