Experienced Legal Secretary : Conveyancing

Salary : Dependent on experience

A leading firm are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Commercial Property team in Gloucester.
The ideal candidate will hold at least 1 : 2 years of experience within a commercial property environment and be confident in all procedures along with the desire to deliver high customer satisfaction.

Duties:

  • Typing by audio-transcription, drafting documents and engrossments.
  • Drafting and submitting applications to Land Registry and HM Revenue and Customs in relation to land registry and SDLT in property transactions.
  • Liaising with clients in reception and via telephone on behalf of the fee earner; answering queries, making appointing and checking documents.
  • Filing documents and retrieving archived files at fee earners request.
  • General office administration duties such as photocopying.
  • When fee earner is out of office, ensuring incoming and outgoing post is matched along with all correspondence noted on file.
  • Proof reading documents.
  • Opening files and new matters on Case Management system.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good telephone manner.

The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure and within a busy environment.
